Frequently asked questions
Which template should I use?
Use International for online applications, multinational companies and jobs abroad. Use Nigerian classic when the employer asks for personal details such as state of origin, or for traditional local employers. Modern is a clean, centred layout for any job.
Should I add a photo, date of birth or marital status?
Only if the employer asks. Many employers prefer you leave them out. The International and Modern templates do not show them. This builder has no photo option, to keep the CV easy for scanners to read.
How long should a CV be?
One to two pages. Put your strongest and most recent experience first, and use short bullet points that start with action words and show results.
Is my CV saved?
A draft is kept in this browser so you can return later. Download your CV when you finish, because clearing browser data removes the draft.
Is CV Builder really free to use?
Yes. It is completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit.
