Can this crack a PDF when I forgot the password?

No. This tool only removes a lock when you already know the password, or when the file only has restrictions such as no printing or no copying. It does not guess or break passwords. It is meant for files you own or have permission to open.

What is the difference between an open password and restrictions?

An open password is asked for each time you open the PDF. Restrictions let anyone open the file but block things like printing, copying text or editing. We can remove restrictions without a password. Opening a file that has an open password needs that password.

Is it legal to unlock a PDF?

It is fine to unlock your own files, or files the owner has allowed you to use. Do not remove protection from documents you have no right to use. You are responsible for how you use the unlocked file.

Will the quality or the pages change?

No. The pages, text, images and links stay exactly as they were. Only the encryption is taken off. The file size is usually almost the same.

Can I unlock many PDFs at once?

Yes. Add as many files as you like. If more than one file needs a password you will be asked for each one. You can download everything as one ZIP file.

Why did it say the password is wrong?

Passwords are case sensitive, so check capital letters and spaces. Some files have two passwords. The one you need to open the file is the user password, not the owner password.
