Frequently asked questions
Can I change the existing text in a PDF?
Not directly. PDF text is not stored like a Word document. The usual way is to cover the old text with a white box (Whiteout) and type the new text on top. For real editing, convert the PDF to Word first.
How do I fill in a form with fill-in fields?
Open “Form fields”. If the PDF has fields, they are listed there. Type or tick them and save. You can also flatten the form so the answers cannot be changed.
How do I fill a scanned form?
Use the Text tool and click where the answer goes. Use the Tick tool for check boxes.
Is the whiteout permanent?
It covers the content but does not delete it. Someone could still select the hidden text. For privacy, use the Redact PDF tool.
Which fonts can I use?
Helvetica, Times and Courier styles, with basic Latin letters. For other letters, add them as a picture.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser.
