Editorial Policy

Our commitment to integrity, accuracy, and student safety.

At EduJobs Africa, we understand that our readers rely on us for life-changing information regarding scholarships, jobs, and grants. To maintain the highest level of trust, we adhere to a strict set of editorial standards designed to ensure that every piece of content we publish is accurate, helpful, and safe.

1. Sourcing and Fact-Checking

We do not publish rumors or unverified “forwarded” messages. Our editorial team follows a rigorous sourcing process:

  • Primary Sources Only: We prioritize information directly from official university portals, government gazettes, and verified corporate career pages.
  • Cross-Verification: Before a scholarship or job is posted, we cross-reference the details (deadlines, eligibility, and contact info) against at least two independent sources when possible.
  • Link Integrity: We perform manual checks on all external application links to ensure they lead to secure (HTTPS) and legitimate websites.

2. Independence and Objectivity

Our editorial content is produced independently. While we may earn revenue through display advertisements (such as Google AdSense), these ads do not influence our reporting or the selection of opportunities we feature.

  • We do not accept payment in exchange for “ranking” a scholarship higher than others.
  • Sponsored content is always clearly labeled as “Sponsored” or “Ad” to ensure full transparency with our readers.

3. Anti-Plagiarism Policy

EduJobs Africa has a zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism. While we summarize official opportunity descriptions, our analysis, “How to Apply” guides, and career tips are original works created by our in-house writers. We always provide proper attribution and back-links to the original source of the opportunity.

4. The “Safety First” Protocol

The internet is filled with fraudulent “recruitment” schemes. Our editorial team is trained to spot “red flags,” such as:

  • Requests for application fees.
  • Non-professional email addresses (e.g., using @yahoo or @gmail for a major government agency).
  • Websites with no SSL certificates.

If an opportunity fails our safety check, it is never published on EduJobs Africa.

5. Corrections and Updates

Opportunities change quickly. If a deadline is extended or a scholarship program is suspended, we aim to update our posts within 24 hours. If you spot an error in any of our reports, please email edujobsafrica@gmail.com with the subject line “Correction Needed.”

By following these editorial pillars, EduJobs Africa remains a verified and trusted portal for the African educational community.
